Secret Santa Project PG is a volunteer run group made up of a handful of local citizens who have taken over SSPPG after the passing of its founder, Lori Trupp. The goal of Secret Santa PG is to match families in need with sponsors for some extra help at Christmas, often helping those who do not qualify for other programs. A sponsor can be a single person, a couple, a family, a business, or even ju
st a group of friends. When sponsors fill out an application, they can request to be matched with a specific sized family (small, med, large or single person). SSPPG takes applications from people in need including singles, couples, families of all sizes, and seniors. Once we have enough applications from both our sponsors and hamper applicants (and we’ve cross reference them with other organizations), we do our best to match them up. The options for both sponsors and applicants are IF both parties agree, sponsors and hamper recipients can communicate directly, thus allowing the sponsor to get a more personal feel for shopping for the family. We only provide first names and a phone number of the contact to the sponsor so they can communicate directly with their match. Or they can choose to be anonymous, if either party decides to be anonymous then they SSPPG team becomes the go between for information. The biggest difference between SSPPG and most organizations is that SSPPG is much more personalized. Our applicants are asked for their true needs and wants so that our amazing sponsors can get to know a little bit about their match and purchase items based on their matches personal likes and needs. The sponsors often choose to personally deliver their hampers to the matches. This always gives us the greatest feel-good feedback.
