June is National Indigenous History Month — a time to honour, celebrate, and learn from the rich histories, cultures, traditions, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples across Canada.
At Catholic Family Services of Prince Albert, we recognize the strength, resilience, and wisdom of Indigenous communities, while also acknowledging the painful truths of colonization and the ongoing journey toward healing, reconciliation, and justice.
We are committed to listening, learning, and walking together in a spirit of respect, compassion, and understanding. This month, we encourage everyone to take time to learn Indigenous histories, support Indigenous voices, and reflect on how we can all contribute to meaningful reconciliation in our communities.
Every story matters. Every voice matters. Reconciliation begins with truth, respect, and action.

Today is World Maternal Mental Health Day 💜
Pregnancy and early motherhood can bring joy—but they can also come with challenges that aren’t always visible. Many mothers experience anxiety, depression, and other mental health struggles, often in silence.
At Catholic Family Services, we want every parent to know: you are not alone, and support is available. Reaching out is a sign of strength, and caring for your mental health is an important part of caring for yourself and your little ones.
Let’s work together to break the stigma, create space for honest conversations, and ensure that every mother feels seen, supported, and valued.
If you or someone you know is struggling, we’re here to help [email protected] 306-922-3202 www.cfspa.ca

May 5th is Red Dress Day

Today, we honour Red Dress Day and stand in remembrance of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people.

This is a time for all Canadians to engage in reconciliation by educating themselves, listening to the stories of victims' families, and taking part in marches, vigils, and discussions to demand change.

At Catholic Family Services, we stand in solidarity with Indigenous families, survivors, and communities. We commit to listening, learning, and walking alongside those affected with respect, compassion, and a dedication to reconciliation.

We invite our community to take a moment today to reflect, to learn, and to honour those who are missing and those whose lives were taken too soon.
