Today we honour the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. We recognize and respect the First Peoples of this land, whose knowledge, traditions, and resilience continue to guide us.

At La Leche League Canada, our land acknowledgement is not words alone. It is a commitment to listen, to learn, and to walk with Indigenous families in creating safer spaces for feeding, healing, and community.

Breastfeeding and human milk are medicine, passed through generations as a way of nourishing and strengthening both body and spirit. On this day, we remember that supporting families with milk medicine is also an act of reconciliation, respect, and connection.
