Prince Albert Early Childhood Intervention Program PAECIP supports families with children from birth to school going age, who are at risk for delay, or

PAECIP services families in Prince Albert and surrounding areas. We are part of a provincial wide program that supports families with children who have different needs. Our Early Interventionists offer home visits (during Covid we offer virtual contact) and personalized support for you and your child. We provide screening and on going assessment of your child's progress and will assist with ideas for activities that promote your child's development. PAECIP has a toy and book lending library for our registered families and can offer information on services and supports available to you in the community.

Today, PA ECIP wears orange to commemorate Orange Shirt Day, honoring survivors of residential schools and remembering lost children. The orange shirt symbolizes recognition of the identities taken from children, highlighting the ongoing impact of this loss.

It is a day for reflection and learning, a reminder of the importance of listening to and amplifying Indigenous voices. Through education and awareness, we can work towards reconciliation and ensure that such tragedies are never repeated. Let us take this opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations and actions that contribute to healing and foster a future rooted in respect and equality for all.
