PRESCOTT TIM HORTONS (GAS STATION) DONATION TO KINSMEN SPIRIT OF GIVING CAMPAIGN
Special to the Beacon
The spirit of the holiday season is alive and well in Prescott. The Lockett team at the Prescott Tim Hortons (gas station location) were thrilled to set a new location record for the holiday cookie campaign with their donation to the Kinsmen Club of Prescott Spirit of Giving of $3995.79. Special thanks to South Grenville District High School staff and hospitality classes and to everyone that purchased holiday smile cookies, it definitely was a community effort.
The 36th annual Kinsmen Spirit of Giving campaign is now underway. All items to make a turkey dinner, including perishable and non-perishable food items and a toy for children, are distributed to registered households in Prescott, Augusta and Edwardsburgh.
Spirit of Giving hampers will be distributed to 310 local households this year. Registration was significantly higher than 2024. Monetary donations enable the Kinsmen to purchase the perishables included in the hampers, turkeys, bread, fruit, etc.
The Spirit of Giving will need volunteers to help assemble and distribute the hampers.
People are encouraged to check out the page for the Kinsmen Club of Prescott for volunteer opportunities.
