This week, off-duty members of Powell River Fire Rescue are volunteering their time to welcome Grade 3 students from across the qathet School District to the Fire Safety House. Through hands-on learning and realistic fire safety scenarios, students practice recognizing hazards, responding to smoke alarms, crawling under smoke, and safely escaping a home during a fire. Built by local firefighters with support from our community, the Fire Safety House has helped educate generations of children, giving them the confidence and knowledge to stay safe in an emergency. We are proud to continue this important tradition and invest in the safety of our community’s youngest residents.

🎄 Light Up the Park at Putters Mini Golf 🎄

Powell River Professional Firefighters teamed up with Putters Mini Golf to bring holiday cheer to our community by lighting up the mini-golf course for our annual Light Up the Park fundraiser! ✨🚒

✨ The course is beautifully decorated with festive lights and open Dec 19–23 from 5 – 8 pm — entry by donation.
💖 All proceeds go to the Powell River Fire Fighter Charitable Fund, supporting local causes and community initiatives. 

🎉 New this year: Glow-in-the-dark golf on Dec 20 (regular mini golf fees apply)!

For decades, our members have proudly lit up the tree in front of Westview Veterinary Hospital, and we want to give a huge thank-you to the amazing team there for their years of support.
