This week at Powell River City Hall, Dr. Khaketla of Vancouver Coastal Health and Jessica of the Qathet Community Action Team presented updated figures on accidental toxic drug deaths in our region — and made clear that housing is central to any real way forward on overdose and substance use disorder.

This Delegation is part of a series of events commemorating the 25th Annual International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD). Interested members of the public are invited to take part in two additional events:

- Overdose Prevention & Naloxone Training on August 26
- International Overdose Awareness Day - Flag Raising on August 31th (https://www.facebook.com/events/1983418165642965)
