Our Speedy Goals program has been extremely popular since it first launched as a pilot project back in 2023. This 12-week Contingency Management program is designed for people who want to make changes to their stimulant use, and is rooted in setting and working toward SMART personal goals.

We connected with Gavin to hear about his experience in the program and the positive impact it’s made in his life. Read his story here: https://liftcommunityservices.org/speedy-goals-gavins-story/

If you’ve been asking what can be done about poverty, housing and food insecurity, the toxic drug crisis, or the growing need for social supports in our community, here’s a way to help.

We’re actively seeking new volunteers to join our Board of Directors to help shape practical, compassionate responses to community issues.

Community needs community. Take positive action as a member of our board – learn more at bit.ly/lift-board-26

It’s been two weeks since the Driftwood Shelter opened and we’re so grateful to have this space to offer to our community members.

Nightly numbers have increased from 4 individuals on our first night, to 23 people this weekend. Already we’ve supported 43 unique individuals, several of whom had never accessed shelter services before.

We’re open at 7104 Barnet St, with beds available on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 4:00 pm daily.

It’s a heavy day, marking 10 years of the toxic drug public health emergency.

There are so many of us in qathet who have been impacted by this preventable public health failure; so many of us know someone who has died because of toxic drugs or know someone who knows someone. Every death leaves a mark on our community.

Thank you to ACCEPT and the qathet Community Action Team for marking this occasion in a thoughtful and sensitive way today. Thank you to the for sharing your space to do so.

Harm reduction saves lives, and it’s not enough. We need brave and compassionate drug policy that extends dignity to people using substances, treats this like the public health issue it is, and stops more devastating and preventable deaths.
