Attention all Baxterland riders - due to the warm weather forecast we won’t be able to easily retrieve lake stakes during the warm spell so we will be removing them today and tomorrow and Friday. The affected trails will change status accordingly so check the ITG for the latest info. It’s been a fantastic season and who knows, it might continue on the land trails after the warm up. Stay tuned!

Thank you to Mike Kondra, Arctic Cat, Oil Co and BSR for the great prizes - and to the supporters who bought tickets for them and the 50/50 of $115. All winners have been notified and were happy to receive the news. We really appreciate everyone who stopped by the BBQ and hope you got in all the riding you wanted this amazing season!

The weather forecast is warm for a week so no idea what the conditions will be but it does look like the trail conditions will change quickly so check the ITG before heading out! The trails have a good base and can hopefully stand up over the next week but it’ll be a day at a time.

Groomer Sunset on C trail north of 6 mile and a few shots trying to include the full moon! iPhone 16 takes an ok shot too…not bad for something so far away. Hope you can get out and ride next couple of days, weather forecast getting warmer later in the week. Trails are all done yesterday night and tonight and they’re flat and ready for you!

Thx again for all the support at our BBQ fundraiser yesterday - what a turnout! Looking forward to next year already…

We would also like to recognize all the volunteers who packed and broke trail to get us started, put up all the signage, tended to the portages and brushed the trails. There are so many involved but a big shout out to Tony, Mike, Peter, Joe, Jim, Matt, Romeo, Drew, Kenneth, Michelle, Sharon and Dave who were the core of the team effort. It is so appreciated!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us today for the trailside BBQ! By all accounts, it was a great success for which we can recognize Mother Nature, all the supporters/advertisers and our dedicated volunteers!

The stellar team today was Tony, Mike, Peter, Drew and Heather, Angela and Michelle with many others chipping to put together an awesome bonfire, tasty BBQ burgers and dogs, great raffle prizes and a 50/50. And a little yacht rock on the JBL’s to keep your toes tapping…

So many people tried out the new Arctic Cat products and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Thanks to Kevin from Arctic Cat and Georgian Bay Yamaha Leisure and Marine for bringing “the show”, the Argo generator and for sponsoring lunch!

The OPP attended and made a great impression on the crowd with their approachable demeanor. Well done and thanks for patrolling the trails and enforcing valid permits…it really makes a difference.

So many great drone shots and photos’s yet to come but we’ll start with these today.

The Baxter Snow Riders worked hard to make the best trails possible this year and your positive comments spurred us on all season. Romeo, Kenneth, Jason, Drew, Paul and Arthur groomed their hearts out to make your riding experience great!

Enjoy the balance of the season and enjoy the best season ever as long as possible…this the one we’ll talk about for a long time - can’t wait until next year!

Good Morning Riders! Just a quick reminder about our fundraiser today on the trail at the intersection of trail 11a and C trail (north intersection - Hungry Creek swamp) from 11-2 pm. Just west of the Monument which is at the intersection of C trail and B105.

Arctic Cat is sponsoring the BBQ and has provided the following announcement of a new offer for the coming season. They will also be providing demo rides if you are looking to see the new products in action on the snow.

The weather will be great, maybe a little windy, but we’ll be set up against a tree line to make it as comfortable as possible for an on-trail event! And our dedicated volunteers Tony and Peter have positioned a fresh “comfort station”, thanks to Prestige Mechanical, for your convenience so see you soon and where you may roam, have a great ride today and hope you can make our fundraiser a stop on your journey!

BSR BBQ Fundraiser tomorrow Saturday at Trail 11a and C trail Hungry Creek (north) between 11 and 2 pm.

Dedicated volunteers Peter and Tony figured out how to transport the “comfort station” in time for the event so a big Thank You to Peter and Tony, and all volunteers like them, who invest there time (and money) to make snowmobiling so fantastic!

BSR appreciates all of its advertisers/sponsors and gives a big Thank You to Prestige Mechanical who have graciously sponsored this much needed part of our fundraising event. And it will be there for the rest of the season - let’s hope that’s a long time!

There was a question about parking in Port Severn Park and I can confirm it’s plowed for staging but the parking rates still apply. There is some parking at the Groomer building and it’s free but more limited in space and will likely fill up early.

Great news! Arctic Cat and their dealer Georgian Bay Yamaha Leisure and Marine will be providing DEMO’s of the their latest products for test rides at the BBQ fundraiser!!! Thank you to Arctic Cat for making this happen and for their prize donation and sponsoring the food too! It just keeps getting better. Several donations have come in for draw prizes so should be lots of fun - hope you can swing by Saturday.

It’s just west of “The monument” on the Hungry Creek swamp. Check out the OFSC integrated trail map for a detailed route from your location We’re also bringing in a fresh Porta potti for your comfort so no worries there either. Baxter BBQ fundraiser this Saturday Feb 28 from 11-2 pm at 11a/C trail intersection (Hungry Bay) at our new club sign just installed. Trails are great and weather supposed to be great so if you can stop in and join us for a few minutes we’d love to see you. And if you’d like to donate to the cause that would be much appreciated! All the roadside trails thru Port Severn have been restored by groomer operator Jason and big thanks to Mike and Noah Roughley of Georgian Bay Contracting who always help clean up the road after the groomer passes - on all of our roadside trails. We really appreciate your support Mike and Noah.
