We prepare “Wellness Care Packages” filled with ART supplies to support Mental Health, people who are ill or hospitalized, and children in households who cannot afford the expense of art supplies. I decided to start this non profit organization to honour my late sister Ludy Edge who passed away in March 17, 2017. She has been the light and driving force in my heart since I started my painting jour
ney on the same day she passed, just hours before. I actually woke up with a flash of this heart shape in brilliant light of golden rays the morning after I started my Paint Den-Go business and the day I found her body. I believe with my whole heart and soul that at that time I was given a glimpse into the future and only now 7 years later I truly understand my path that is forking in my artistic journey. In the past 7 years I devoted a lot of love, energy, time and cost into putting together wellness and care ART packages mostly for children to have art supplies to paint at home to express their emotions in a healthy way onto canvas or paper. I've also sent countless packages across Canada to critically ill people or people suffering with Mental Illness, in hopes they create art which would help them refocus on something fun and allow their hearts and bodies to feel pleasure from creating artwork. That is the bottom line. It has helped me tremendously to over come PTSD from finding my sisters body and also from the Mental Illness perspective where I didn't know who I have become after she passed and it took a while to find myself. Art has helped me express my emotions onto canvas and develop into the artist I am today. I am so thankful that I feel my sisters presence and her guiding force in all of my creative endeavors and in every project I take on. I wish she was here with me in flesh, but her journey was meant to continue elsewhere. I hope you can now understand my passion a little more in creating this non profit. I have been on this journey of wellness packages alone, and I do not wish to be alone anymore. I believe that together with others who join this non profit in board members and volunteers, that together we can make a bigger impact and help the many who are suffering alone, needing some sort of outlet to express their emotions.
