Long Point Area Fish and Game Club

The Long Point Area Fish and Game Club was founded in 1984 and we are located in Port Rowan.

We are a non profit group of conservationists dedicated to improving the local habitat of fish and wildlife in order to enhance and promote better recreational hunting and fishing opportunities in Norfolk County and the Long Point area. Although the club events may vary a little from year to year most things remain faithful to our core values – creating opportunities for fishing, hunting and conse

rvation. Past and present projects have included running the Long Point Bass Derby, the youths high school fishing day at Backus, the kids fishing day at Deer Creek, the NACL fishing days, the Port Rowan yard sale/swap and having work parties to create rabbit habitat, stream cleaning, hunting habitat, etc. An elected executive of four people (President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary) oversee the smooth running of the club and are elected each spring by the members. The Long Point Area Fish and Game Club membership usually runs between 80 and a 100 members. In the 90’s and 2000’s most of our meetings were held at the Starks Golf course club house in Port Rowan, in 2016 we moved to the Delta Waterfowl Ontario headquarters on Turkey Point road.

Just a reminder that tomorrow - Tuesday 30th June, is the club members fishing day, and also there will be LPAF&GC members meeting afterwards at 12:30(ish) with the burger BBQ starting around 1pm to be held at Collin's Marina at 274 Front Road, Port Rowan

Ontario FREE Family Fishing Events 2026! NO LICENSE REQUIRED!
Go Fishing with your family!
Four times a year, Canadian residents can fish in Ontario for free. This means you do not need to buy a fishing licence if you want to fish during:

Family Fishing Weekend (February 14 – 16, 2026)
Mother’s Day Weekend (May 9 & 10, 2026)
Father’s Day Weekend (June 20 & 21, 2026)
Family Fishing Week (June 27 – July 5, 2026)

Hi All,
just a reminder that the LPAF&G members meeting is tonight at Collins Marina at 7.30pm (6th Jan) and not on the usual second tuesday of the month.

This will also be our election meeting.

We need a new President please consider taking this on, it's not a time consuming position.

If you have anyone in mind for this position (either yourself or any other member) or if you want to be in any of the other executive positions, please come along or ask them to attend the meeting.

We will also have the 2026 yard sale flyers with us for you to take and distribute in the community in the usual spots.

1 More Sleep!!!! The Norfolk County Pheasant Release Program starts tomorrow! Sept 25- Dec 31, 2025 with a daily limit of 3 possession limit of 10.
Rabbits Sept 25 to Feb 2026
You MUST BUY NORFOLK COUNTY PHEASANT/ RABBIT LICENSE to hunt $30, have your Small Game License.
All money raised from License sales funds the pheasants for the following year.
