Now live - Preorder native perennial habitat kits for June pickup 🌱🐝

After so much community support for our public plant sale, we’re trying a new, organized pickup model to help get more native plants into local landscapes.

A limited run of native plants and 18-perennial habitat kits is now available for advance order through our website. Choose your kit by growing conditions: sunny meadow, forest/partial shade, or wet/rain garden areas.

Order by May 29, while quantities last. Scheduled pickups begin in early June at the St. Williams wholesale nursery, during set pickup windows only while we continue our regular restoration work.

Looking for Ontario native plants at participating Loblaw, Zehrs, Real Canadian Superstore, and Your Independent Grocer garden centres? 🌱

We’ve created a grower-maintained map to help people find locations across Ontario. Plants are supplied and delivered by nurseries focused on conservation and ecological restoration: St. Williams Nursery & Ecology Centre, Native Plants in Claremont, and Native Trees and Plants.

When you choose these plants, you’re supporting local pollinators, habitat restoration, and Ontario native plant growers to build more reliable native plant supply. Please note this is not an official Loblaw map, and availability may vary by store / timing.

New tags, same great Ontario native plants 🌱🪻🌼

Since 2020, St. Williams Nursery & Ecology Centre, Native Trees & Plants in Amherstburg, and Native Plants in Claremont have worked together to help more people plant native species grown from Ontario seed, for our province’s landscapes.

This week, native perennials grown from ethically collected Ontario seed are arriving at select Loblaw, Zehrs, Real Canadian Superstore, and Your Independent Grocer garden centres across the province.

These plants are adapted to our region, low maintenance, and support pollinators, birds, beneficial insects, and local ecosystems. Even planting 1 or 2 native plants at home can help rebuild habitat across our communities, now and for future generations.

Thank you to everyone who came out to our Public Plant Sale yesterday.

We were truly blown away by the turnout from the community. It was an incredibly busy day, and we’re so grateful for everyone’s patience, enthusiasm, and support throughout.

It was amazing to see so many people excited about planting Ontario native trees, shrubs, and perennials. We were also pleased to offer fruit trees and other plants that helped broaden support for our work. People came from near and far to shop our one-day event, and we are incredibly grateful to have connected with so many new and familiar faces.

A sincere thank you to our hardworking team, family, and volunteers who helped make the day happen. It would not have been possible without you all.
