Our cows Icarus (right) and Pegasus are like typical siblings. One moment they're chasing each other off the hay and trying to hog it all for themselves, and the next they're sharing it like they're best friends. 🙂. And also, both of them are shedding their winter coats like crazy, which makes us all very happy! Although a little chilly this morning, spring must be here to stay! 😀

A rainy Saturday at Pegasus this morning, but these boys and girls didn't mind one bit!! Ducks April, Donald, Pickles and Coco investigated the puddles and played in the rain, but chickens Thelma and Chicklette decided it was way better inside where there were treats on offer!

DeeDee came to Pegasus a little over two years ago after she was found wandering in a neighbourhood by herself. She bonded fiercely with Delilah, and the two of them continue to be besties, sharing a nesting area and wandering the farm together. Since coming to stay with us, DeeDee has grown, matured and changed her appearance quite a bit, but is still the same sweet, gentle girl who is always interested in whatever tidbits might fall while meals are being prepared. 😊

There have been some chillier mornings lately as fall really settles in, but Thelma doesn't mind. She makes herself cozy in the straw bale pile and happily watches the goings on around the farm. 😊

Blanche and Lilian enjoying the summer-like warmth on Saturday morning! That's their new shelter for the days it's not so warm anymore, built by some of our fantastic volunteers! Sometimes the horses would boss them out of the other shed in their paddock, so now there are two. 😊💕
