SAVE OUR OLD GROWTH URBAN FOREST at 234 Union Ave Port Perry, Ontario
We need to work together to build and maintain healthy, thriving small urban forests right here in Port Perry, Ontario. We already have a 400 trees old Heritage Urban Forest at 234 Union Ave, Port Perry and yet NO ONE is PAYING ATTENTION to our concerns since May 2019 in the Township of Scugog!
We are reaching out to neighbours & friends, like you, who want to help save our trees in Port Perry. Thank you for visiting our Page to help save our Port Perry Heritage Trees (Small urban Forest) at 234 Union that are being destroyed to build 28 houses IF the TOWNSHIP OF SCUGOG APPROVES the developers plan.
Trees improve air quality, provide shade, captures CO2, cancels noise, absorbs dust and water, lowers energy consumption and improves property value.
Port Perrry has already had 300 trees destroyed in other developements. 100 massive Trees already have been destroyed at 234 Union for the road for the new Chieftain Housing Development of 28 houses on the ‘pre-approved road’ but the REZONING for 234 Union ave has not been approved to-date.
