PoMoArts is a non-profit community arts organization that develops, promotes and celebrates the arts.

The Port Moody Arts Centre Society is a charitable organization mandated to develop, promote and celebrate the visual, performing and literary arts in Port Moody. The Arts Centre offers over 350 classes annually to all ages. We have a contemporary art gallery for local and international artists to exhibit their work with new exhibitions throughout the year. We support the Blackberry Artist’s Socie

ty, a local artist’s co-op, showcasing the work of local artists. The Arts Centre also hosts several community and fundraising events throughout the year. Calling all Lower Mainland filmmakers! 📣

Art Out Side is an annual multidisciplinary arts festival taking place August 7–16, 2026, curated by PoMoArts.

This year’s will feature an evening of short film screenings, so we’re inviting local filmmakers to submit work across all genres and categories.

If you’ve got a film that deserves an audience, we want to see it!

Selected participants will be provided an honorarium of $150.

Join us for the Opening Reception for our three new exhibitions celebrating emerging artists, including solo exhibitions by 2026 Kwi Am Choi Scholarship recipients Michelle Msami and Jenna Weind, alongside a group exhibition by Poiēsis Collective:

In a series of figurative paintings, 𝘿𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙚 𝙈𝙖𝙘𝙖𝙗𝙧𝙚 by Michelle Msami draws on art historical traditions and spirituality to explore mortality, duality, and transcendence.

Fusing sculpture with illustration, 𝙇𝙖𝙘𝙪𝙣𝙖 by Jenna Weind creates a continuous visual dialogue that interprets gaps within our understanding of the world, reflecting on diaspora and global uncertainty.

In the lens-based exhibition, 𝘼𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚 by Poiēsis Collective explores the consumption and absorption of images through tourism, advertising, and photographic production.
