The Port Moody Arts Centre Society is a charitable organization mandated to develop, promote and celebrate the visual, performing and literary arts in Port Moody. The Arts Centre offers over 350 classes annually to all ages. We have a contemporary art gallery for local and international artists to exhibit their work with new exhibitions throughout the year. We support the Blackberry Artistโ€™s Socie

Looking back to June 26, when Pride, creativity, and community came together at the 2026 Port Moody Youth Pride Festival!๐ŸŒˆ๐ŸŽจ

This yearโ€™s festival once again created an inclusive space for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth, families, friends, and allies to gather, connect, create, and celebrate. Led by the Tri-Cities Pride Societyโ€™s LGBTQ+ Youth Committee, the festival put youth voices and creativity at the heart of the day.

From local youth artists and musicians to hands-on art activities and opportunities to connect, PoMoArts and Kyle Centre were filled with colour, creativity, and community.

So many people made this event possible, and weโ€™re especially grateful to the incredible youth who shared their talents, perspectives, and energy throughout the festival.

Weโ€™re already looking forward to coming together again for Port Moody Youth Pride in 2027 and continuing to create space for youth to be seen, heard, supported, and celebrated. ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€โšง๏ธ

Hereโ€™s to another year of creativity, connection, and Pride! ๐Ÿ’›

Using dramatic compositions shaped by light and fabric, Msamiโ€™s works personify life and death as counterparts bound in a cyclical choreography. Drawing on narrative painting as both a spiritual and secular visual language, the exhibition explores themes of mortality, duality, and transcendence.

Fred Soofi has personally moved and restored six heritage houses in Port Moody.

Most people know him for Il Mercante on Queen Street. Fewer know heโ€™s the reason a heritage house didnโ€™t get demolished when SkyTrain construction threatened it โ€” he saved it, and itโ€™s now part of the Port Moody Arts Centre.

Full story in this weekโ€™s Port Moody Pulse.

๐ŸŽจ Part of our Art Out Side Media Ambassador coverage โ€” Fredโ€™s cooking demo is part of this yearโ€™s festival.
