Volunteer Drivers Needed!

The People's Pantry Food Recovery Society is looking for reliable volunteer drivers to help rescue food from local retailers and deliver it to our pantry in Port Moody.

By volunteering just a few hours a week, you'll help reduce food waste and ensure good food reaches individuals and families in our community.

We're looking for volunteers who:
✔ Have a valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle
✔ Can lift and transport food safely
✔ Are dependable and enjoy giving back to the community

This week we received just over 2800 yoghurt drinks from Costco in Port Coquitlam!
These were donated because they had damage to their cardboard packaging and could not be sold. The drinks themselves are completely fine and have been distributed to families in the TriCities.

76 hampers made, over 230 people fed this week. We are The Peoples Pantry, a nonprofit food bank rescuing food.
Each hamper we make is full of fresh produce, baked goods and protein. With each hamper, we help reduce food insecurity and keep good food out of the landfill.
We are able to do all of this thanks to our wonderful volunteers, generous donors and dedicated board members.

🕒 Sundays | Pick up 1:30–2:30 pm
📍 The People's Pantry in Port Moody

This is a hands-on, behind-the-scenes role that helps us:
✔ Keep our space clean and safe
✔ Prevent wildlife issues
✔ Reduce landfill waste

Cardboard can sometimes be wet or messy — gloves supplied!

We welcome volunteers who can help weekly or even 1–2 Sundays per month.
