Hi Dumpling Lovers! 🥟

As many of you have seen, several beloved festivals across BC have been cancelled this year due to rising costs, reduced sponsorships, and funding challenges.

The BC Dumpling Festival has also been impacted. We’ve lost almost all of our major sponsors this year, which has created a significant funding gap. Despite these challenges, we’re excited to be moving forward with the 2026 BC Dumpling Festival because we believe this event is too important to our community to give up on.

We’re reaching out to ask for your support. If you own a business, work for a company that may be interested in sponsorship, or know someone who would be a great fit, we’d love an introduction. Sponsorship opportunities are available at all levels, and every contribution helps.

We’ve also launched a GoFundMe for those who would like to support the festival directly. Whether you donate, share the campaign, or connect us with potential sponsors, every bit helps.

Thank you for being part of our dumpling-loving community and helping us keep this free event thriving for years to come. ❤️

We are officially looking for volunteers for this year’s BC Dumpling Festival on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at Town Centre Park in Coquitlam!

As one of the largest multicultural community festivals in the Tri Cities, we rely on an amazing team of volunteers to help bring this free event to life. Last year, over 40,000 attendees joined us for a day filled with food, culture, entertainment, and community spirit — and we’re hoping to make this year even bigger!

We are currently looking for volunteers to help in areas including:
• Parking & Traffic Control
• Sustainability Team
• Kids Zone
• Art Zone
• Vendor Support
• Set Up & Tear Down
• Entertainment Stage
• Guest Services
• Info Tent
• And more!

If you’re looking to get involved in the community, meet new people, gain event experience, or simply be part of an incredible day, we would love to have you join our team.

It was truly an honour to meet with the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Vancouver over a delicious lunch at Jia Wei Chinese Restaurant to connect about the upcoming BC Dumpling Festival.

We had a great conversation about celebrating culture, community, and this year’s focus on Chinese heritage. Grateful for the warm hospitality and excited for what’s ahead.

Hi Dumpling Lovers,

We are moving forward with the festival this year and are excited to bring it back to Town Centre Park on August 15.

This event started from a difficult moment in our community and has grown into something incredibly meaningful. Last year, we welcomed over 35,000 people to celebrate culture, food, and connection.

Like many events this year, we’ve faced some challenges. Several of our sponsors, including our title sponsor, have had to step back due to the current economy, and costs continue to rise.

That said, we are committed to making this happen.

We are currently looking for sponsors and community partners who want to be part of something truly impactful. If you or someone you know may be interested, we would love to connect.

Thank you so much for your continued support.
