Good news for Port Hardy & the region!

Good news for Port Hardy!

45 million dollar in upgrades to the Port Hardy Hospital will include:
-upgrades to the emergency department
-culturally safe spaces
- expanding and modernising the maternity suites
- expanding and modernising the lab services

This should help to recruit and retain frontline staff needed to have ER access 24/7 in the Port Hardy Hospital.

Learn about vulnerabilities, risks, and uncertainties in forest management in 'Options for Resilient Forest Management,' a webinar from Forest Professionals British Columbia (FPBC).

Participants will also explore options for coping with disruption, from resistance and recovery to adjustment, reconfiguration, or transformation, as well as become aware of how to mitigate risks to forest ecosystems, communities, and the sector.

🌟 Community Spotlight: Anna Kollman 😊
Today we celebrate Anna! Leave her some kindness!

Today’s spotlight is Anna Kollman, a long-time member of the Port McNeill community. Anna is often the first friendly face you see when arriving in town, and the last when you’re heading out, as she works at the local Petro. She greets everyone with a warm smile and, more often than not, a great story to share.

Anna is truly a town staple. One nominator shared how much they miss the days of full-service gas stations, remembering Anna as the first to come out and help, always kind and always a pleasure to talk with. We’re proud to celebrate Anna and the everyday kindness she brings to our community.

Because it’s people like Anna, and the small, everyday moments they create, that make Port McNeill such a special place 💛
