It's June! And that means we're riding to support the operation of our music education programs in Mwanza.

Our Founder, Christie has pledged to ride over 50kms in the month of June in support of our work.

Dear friends,

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our wonderful and dedicated music teacher Paul Simion Pambe. You will recognize Paul from many of our photos and videos over the years. Paul led our programs in Geita and was a huge piece of the Bridging Worlds Through Music family. He is greatly missed.

We are raising funds for his daughter's school fees in Tanzania and to support his family as they transition to a life without Paul. If you can donate, please do.

Bridging Worlds Through Music (BWTM) began running workshops in 2014, connecting students in Toronto's Regent Park with kids in Geita, Tanzania for a music workshop and jam session. The music program has now grown into a community-led youth music education program.

BWTM invests in the communities they work in, employing local teachers to operate their programs. They offer accessible teacher training for local educators and community leaders, so that they may spread the joy of music in their communities and beyond. BWTM's programs are human-focused, and guided by inclusion and gender parity.

Join the 2022 CAP Ride bikeathon to help support Bridging Worlds Through Music

Bridging Worlds Through Music started with music workshops, audio collages, video blogs and an online music jams between students in Canada and Tanzania. They’ve since expanded to create a full music program at Rich Hill English Medium and Nursery School.

Bridging Worlds Through music has been working to expand the music education programming in Geita through building an instrument and music book library, facilitating teacher training and deepening relationships and commitments to music as an approach to building life skills and supporting academic performance within the school communities.
