Dec 13, 2024. The Superior Court of Justice - Ontario Divisional Court has dismissed, on jurisdictional grounds, Southbridge Health Care GP Inc's motion to appeal the decision of the OLT dated February 20, 2023, a decision which upheld Port Hope's right to enforce its zoning bylaws. Our municipality has won against a private equity "health care" developer/landlord whose sole purpose is to enrich its shareholders using provincial dollars. Case dismissed!
