A dream of many communities across the province. How comforting to have Physician services with convenient scheduling , Pharmacy collaboration and extensive Dental services under one roof! Other wonderful services are Islandview Beauty Salon, Inverness County Home Support Services, as well as space for visiting specialists and all so close to home!
The health centre is showing its age and needs repairs and upgrades. In 2019 automatic doors were installed on 3 main entrances, walkways were replaced and sidewalks were built up to divert water from the building. Funding was received from Nova Scotia Heritage Grant, from the community Chase the Ace event, Port Hood Development and our annual fundraiser. Thank you!!
The medical centre needs on going work! Quotes are being received for paving. Other work includes roof repair, signage, exterior lighting, carpet cleaning, and continued upgrades to walkways. Your financial support is appreciated!
The Port Hood and Area Resting Place offers a comfortable, modern space in which to respect and honor our loved ones and to share sympathy with family and friends. The mortgage now $92,500 from $200,000 in 2010. The facility needs heat pumps and main door repairs.
