New first aid requirements are now in effect.
Employers must:
✅ Prepare a written risk assessment for each workplace in consultation with workers.
✅ Provide the supplies, facilities and the first aid attendants required by the assessment.
✅ Keep written first aid procedures and conduct drills at least once a year.

📅 Last week, CBTU Director of Business Development and Industry Relations Joe Piazza had productive meetings to discuss Canada’s energy future with BC Building Trades, LNG Canada, IBEW 213, and Insulators Union Local 118.

Between economic uncertainty from U.S. tariffs and the transition to net-zero, securing our energy independence has never been more important. ⚡🔋 Building Trades members stand ready to build and maintain the infrastructure needed to lower our emissions and expand our exports. 💪
