Did you ever wonder what it took to remove all the mats and railings from the port carling snowmobile bridge?

Mike Lamont provides a great video overview of just what it takes

This dock serves a dual purpose as a boat dock in the summer and a snowmobile bridge in the winter, which is why we need to protect it with rubber mats

Check out that current. This is Lake Rosseau flowing into Lake Muskoka.

Thanks again to all the volunteers

Pioneer S Series Steel Building /Quonset 30W x 36L x15H
CA$18,900

Hi Everyone,

The Muskoka Lakes Snow Trails Association is selling a new on pallet 30Wx36Lx15H Pioneer Steel Building. The structure is still strapped to its pallet as it was the day it was delivered. The club purchased the structure in 2025 from a landowner in Emsdale. The original owner purchased the structure for $32K, but passed away before the structure could be assembled.

Our snowmobile club had intentions of installing it as a groomer shed on our land leased property, but environmental restrictions from our leaseholder are preventing us from erecting the structure due to us residing on an old landfill.

The structure is currently tarped and banded at our yard in Port Carling. All materials/bolts etc. are included per the original Pioneer delivery. We have not cut the bands.

The structure is manufactured from Galvalume AZ180 heavy industrial coated steel which is 20% thicker than traditional G90 galvanized coating. 20 Year warranty from the manufacturer against rust perforation. We currently possess the engineered stamped diagrams (copy included in this listing) as well as a full install guide from Pioneer located out of Mississauga. https://pioneersteel.com/gallery?cat=S-Series The structure is snow load rated. The structure design is based on the NBCC 2015 and the Ontario Building Code 2012. There are no front or rear walls/doors included with this package. Front and rear walls can be easily built out of wood (see example pic of a similar structure erected) or purchased from Pioneer directly.

Proceeds from the sale of this structure will go directly towards the costs of erecting a larger wood structure building at our new home base in Port Carling. We have entered into a lease agreement with a local landowner who is generously allowing us to use a portion of his land, but we realize that with our new property, we may need a larger facility to house both the groomer and drag. The pallet is extremely heavy. For local purchasers in the Muskoka and surrounding area, the club can make arrangements for delivery once payment has been made and an inspection of the pallet. The club has access to a few local supporters that have the equipment necessary to load, deliver and unload. For deliveries outside Muskoka, we can put you in touch with one of our contractors who would be able to quote you a price to float the shelter to your location.

We can be made available for viewing or if you want to review the installation manual, one of the Steve's is local and can arrange for you to look at the documentation.

Its Time for Some Thanks!

Its been a little over a week since our highly successful BBQ fundraiser at Bass Lake Roadhouse, and we can't thank the owners and staff enough for putting on such an amazing event.

We had so much fun talking with everyone, and sharing our plans about FINALLY building an indoor groomer shop. To say our club is looking forward to a permanent home, sheltered from the elements is an understatement! It's been 33 years of working outside, but with the funds raised at the BBQ, we are getting closer and closure to our goal of a roof, and dare I say perhaps even heat?

As many know, we had a number of other businesses step up to support our event, many of whom are listed below. Next time you are in to see them be sure to tell them you appreciate their support for our event.

Bass Lake Roadhouse
G&G Electronics
Glen Orchard General Store
The Home Depot
The Cove Muskoka Marina & Recreation Centre
Gibsons of Muskoka
Polaris
Bear Creek
Cacao Boys Bala
Bala Bay Inn
Muskoka Maple
Skidoo
Black Bear Barber Co.
Jack & Stella
Weismiller Timber Mart
The Dudley Inn
Taboo Muskoka Resort & Golf
Muskoka Chrysler

Of course, we would me remiss to add that if you missed it, and would still like donate to help us achieve our goal, we will gratefully accept any and all e-transfers to [email protected]

Thanks again to Bass Lake and All of our sponsors for a wonderful event!

Our riders are the best. A few of the folks at Butterfly Lake that ride our trails, pooled together $590 and sent a cheque to the club as a thank you. Special thanks to Robert M, Todd D (both who volunteered their excavation expertise to the club for the re-routes this year) along with their riding group consisting of Don D, David B, Val C, Anthony F, and Gino P. Your gesture is very much appreciated and will go directly to helping with the costs to build our groomer shed.
