🌟 Support our Local Youth Entrepreneurs at Alberni Co-op Community Day! 🌟

We're excited to partner with Alberni District Co-op to bring the Youth Market to this year's Co-op Community Day!

Join us on Saturday, June 13 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Glenwood Centre and shop from a talented group of local youth entrepreneurs. You'll find handmade crafts, unique gifts, creative products, and plenty of great ideas for teacher gifts, birthdays, special occasions, or a little something for yourself.

🎉 Exciting news for Port Alberni! 🎉

Port Alberni has been selected for HGTV's Home Town Takeover — a tremendous opportunity to showcase everything that makes our community special.

This national spotlight will bring attention to our beautiful waterfront, vibrant neighbourhoods, and most importantly, the incredible local businesses that help our community thrive. Increased tourism and media exposure can introduce thousands of visitors to our shops, restaurants, attractions, and entrepreneurs, creating new opportunities for growth and economic development.

Beyond the economic benefits, this project is a chance to celebrate our community pride, highlight local talent, and share the stories that make Port Alberni such a unique place to live, work, and visit.

Home Town Takeover Canada will begin filming on June 10 (tomorrow!), and finish August 28, 2026.

Stay tuned to learn more about what this exciting project will bring Port Alberni, and get ready for the grand reveal when the show airs in fall, 2026!

Come out and support our local youth entrepreneurs this weekend! 🙌

Some of our local talented young business owners will be heading to KidovateNanaimo on April 18th (10am–4pm) at Nanaimo North Town Centre Mall, joining over 100 youth vendors from across Mid-Island.

If you’re planning a trip over to Nanaimo this Saturday, this is a great chance to see their hard work in action, shop their unique products, and show your support. A friendly face and a bit of encouragement can mean a lot!

Make a day of it and help cheer on Port Alberni’s young entrepreneurs, we’d love to see you there.
