Salmon Festival fireworks
Children's Bullhead Derby
Annual T V Auction
Seniors' Pancake Breakfast
Major donations are made for: Bursaries for local Secondary School and North Island College, Seniors' Picnic, Parks & RecreationWe are part of Lions Clubs International in Multiple District 19, which includes clubs in Briti

sh Columbia, Washington, and Northern Idaho. We are in Zone 7 which also includes: Gabriola Island, Nanaimo, Nanaimo - Hub City, Nanoose Bay, Parksville, Parksville Lioness, and Protections Island Lions Clubs.

Thank you from the AV Lions and Terry Fox 2025

Many thanks to all who took part in the 2025 Terry Fox Run in Port Alberni.
The day saw eighty-one registered with a total of $2650 raised at the event with another $350 raised on-line for a Grand Total of $3000, recipient Terry Fox for Cancer research.
I would like to congratulate all those participants with 40year Plus stickers including the crew from Parksville who like the others enjoy taking part in the event, keeping their attendance streak intact…….there are a bunch, too many to acknowledge who have completed all Forty-Five events. Congratulations, as you wear the spirit of Terry Fox with honour with Pride!

45th TERRY FOX RUN Sep. 14. Royal Canadian Legion Parking lot
Gather at R C Legion, Registration opens at 9:00 Goal, raise $5000 for Cancer
Run, Walk, Jog, Enjoy the D**e. Event starts at 10:00 precisely.
2K and 5K Tracks, Volunteers needed to work with the Lions as course marshals.
Volunteers, Lions provide on the task training and support. Volunteer time 8:30 to noon.
Standard complimentary items are available, along with a limited quantity of Run Day T-Shirts offered for sale at $20 child size and $25 adult.
Note: New organizers needed for 2026. After 21 years organizing the Run, the AV Lions Club will be stepping back and will support the new organizing Team going forward.
