Angel's dream of opening a home bake shop was realized in 2025 when we started Dahlia Market. I am on a very important mission to help sick kids and kids with special needs in British Columbia, Canada. I have currently surpassed the $330K fundraising mark for various charities. er, The Lions Foundation Of Canada Dog Guides, the Ride to Conquer Cancer and for many families that have critically ill children. I want to help sick kids to not be scared when they are in the hospital and to help them have the best medical treatment so they can go home from hospital to be with their families. I know hospitals well and I truly understand what its like to go through multiple medical treatments, surgeries and testing. I was born with an extra 21st chromosome and have many medical issues. But I don't let one bit of it stop me, in fact, it's my motivator to help other children who hurt. My work through Hugginz By Angel was recently featured Nationwide on CTV's WEDAY Special. I was named the 2012 Scotiabank Game Changer at the 100th Grey Cup game in Toronto and I won $100,000 to donate to Variety the children's charity of BC. I was presented the Queen Elizabeth 2 Diamond Jubilee Medal in January 2013 and in March 2015 the Canadian Down Syndrome Society named me one of their Super Six Heroes. I am so proud of the work I do to help sick kids and kids with special needs. In January 2014 Variety International named me a 2014 International Youth Ambassador. In August 2016 I was named the Post Foods Canada Search For Goodness winner and won $10,000 which I donated to Hugginz By Angel. Hugginz By Angel is a non profit organization. I make love filled blankets for teens, kids and babies. I want to make sure that every sick child is wrapped up in a warm hug.
