This is getting exciting!!!! We are doing our part to spread the word --- Join the party Tuesday June 9th at Harbour Quay

📣 The City has advanced in the casting process for Home Town Takeover Canada — HGTV's first Canadian edition of the hit renovation series. If selected, our community would see homes, businesses, and public spaces transformed on national television. That's not just a makeover. That's a spotlight on everything the Alberni Valley has to offer.

🎉Join the community rally at Harbour Quay (5440 Argyle Street) on Tuesday, June 9 from 8:00–11:00 a.m. The City of Port Alberni, Tseshaht First Nation, and Hupacasath First Nation are coming together to show the producers exactly what kind of community we are and they need your numbers to make it count.

🎈 It's a full block party: Tseshaht and Hupacasath singers and dancers, children's activities, crafts and face painting, banners to make or take, and a sea of green, white and orange. Harbour Quay will be closed to vehicle traffic from 7:00–11:00 a.m. to make room for all of it.

Bring your staff, your customers, your family. Wear your City colours. Show up and be counted.

Welcome to the 81st Annual Alberni District Fall Fair! 🐄🌻🎢

This year’s theme, 𝙁𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙮 𝙍𝙤𝙤𝙩𝙨 – 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 celebrates the traditions, values, and connections that continue to bring people together generation after generation. For 81 years, our Fall Fair has been a place where families, friends, neighbours, and visitors gather to celebrate the incredible spirit of our community.

​The Alberni District Fall Fair proudly showcases the many talents, skills, and passions that make our region unique. From home and business exhibitors to talented local artisans, exciting 4H barns, horse shows, logger sports, and live entertainment, there is truly something for everyone to enjoy. Our fair continues to honour our agricultural roots while creating new memories for future generations.

​This event would not be possible without the dedication of our volunteers, exhibitors, sponsors, entertainers, and community partners. Your hard work and continued support are what keep this long-standing tradition thriving year after year.
