It's going to be a beautiful day tomorrow, perfect weather for Alberni Valley Rivers Day 2026! 💧🐟🌤️
Join us at Beaver Creek Community Hall from 10-3 to learn all about our local salmon runs, waterways, and more - helpful details below:
- Beaver Creek Community Hall is also having their Grand Opening for the new Pump Track - bring your bike! 🚲
- Shuttle Service will be running for the duration of the event between the Hall and down into Stamp Falls Park, so you can check out the salmon trying to make up the falls, or those in the salmon ladder! Maybe we'll even have some fishermen to watch 🐻
- Event Parking will be in the ball field just past the Hall, there will be signage and traffic crew to help direct you
- This event is FREE! If you'd like to support the Port Alberni Black Sheep however, they'll be serving up burgers and hot dogs for lunch as a fundraiser. Ro's Refreshments will also joining us with snacks, and hot & cold drinks
- Salmon dissections will be happening throughout the day, do you know all the parts of a salmon?
- Fish printing station will be set up, so you can make some art to take home
- Moose on the Loose! Jerry the Moose from BC Parks will be making an appearance, and he's pretty photogenic, so make sure to get a picture with him 🫎
Learn about salmon, check out all the hard work the community hall has been putting into it's space, play on the playground, go into the park, enjoy some lunch, and have a great time with us tomorrow, Sunday, September 27th, from 10-3!
