𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞

Just because the calendar says September doesn’t mean we have to say goodbye to summer. We still have a few more weeks before we transition into another beautiful fall in our community. While it’s always a little sad to say goodbye to the warmer temperatures and long summer days, we know we’ll quickly fall back into our routines and embrace everything the coming months have to offer.

We’ve already held our September meeting (a little earlier than usual!), which means planning is officially underway for some of our upcoming activities. Think pumpkins, our AGM, and perhaps even a visit from Santa! More details on all of these will be coming soon.

But before we get too far ahead of ourselves, let’s focus on September!

On Monday, September 21st, we’re excited to welcome back Melany and her team in support of the Shediac Playgroup!

As part of the Early Childhood Family Resource Centre of Westmorland-Albert, Inc., the playgroup is a wonderful opportunity for parents, guardians and children to get together for activities, crafts and some fun time at the centre.

Check out our Facebook event for more details, and visit their website at 𝐰𝐰𝐰.𝐟𝐫𝐜-𝐜𝐫𝐟𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐧.𝐜𝐨𝐦.

Sometimes pictures really do speak louder than words, and this is one of those cases. With the rain we had on Tuesday evening, some amazing pictures have emerged, and this is definitely one of them!

A huge thank you to Frann Cyr for sharing this beautiful picture with us. ❤️

It feels like we were just celebrating Canada Day, and now we're preparing to welcome the 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐁𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐃𝐚𝐲 long weekend! We hope you were able to take some time in July to rest, relax, enjoy the beautiful weather, and embrace a slower pace of life.

Speaking of Canada Day, we'd like to thank everyone who joined us at the Centre for our annual Canada Day BBQ. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces celebrating together.

A special thank you goes to our dedicated volunteers, who devote countless hours to planning and preparing for this event and helping make it such a success each year.

We are also grateful to the Ville de Shediac / Town of Shediac and their team for once again partnering with us to coordinate the games, bouncy castle, and tattoos. Thank you as well to 𝐑é𝐦𝐢 𝐁𝐨𝐮𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐮, magician and illusionist, for entertaining everyone, and to 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐧 of 𝐀𝐢𝐧'𝐭 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭 for providing a fun, creative activity that was enjoyed by both young and old alike.

We look forward to celebrating with everyone again next year!

While things are a little quieter at the Centre during the summer months, our outdoor facilities are still available for everyone to enjoy.

If you are looking for a break from the wharf or the beach, come check out:

• Our playground for the kids
• The splash pad, perfect for cooling off on a hot day
• The outdoor rink for ball hockey or basketball
• Our open green space, ideal for softball or soccer

𝐙𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐚 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬: One session each week on Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. with Jocelyne.

For more information Jocelyne’s class, please email: [email protected]

Have a safe and happy 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐁𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐃𝐚𝐲 long weekend!
