RS Foundation's primary goal and principal methodology for doing humanitarian work is to collaborate with existing programs, institutions and initiatives and help provide high-quality health, hygiene and educational opportunities with a critical approach needed to eradicate poverty, improve gender inequality and for empowerment of the needy and neglected. The primary influence towards this is crit
ical pedagogy, which considers how education can provide individuals with the tools to better themselves and strengthen democratic principles to create a more egalitarian and just society. As such, the purpose of being truly humanized social agents in the world is inextricably linked to the fundamental commitment of critical pedagogy and Freirean thought to empower the powerless and transform those conditions which perpetuate human injustice and inequity. Thus, our philosophy is to explore and apply principles of critical pedagogy for matters related to education, health and hygiene in a process of progressive social change; the focus of the work is on long-term sustainability and development.
