Doctors said people like my husband and me—both with Down syndrome—couldn’t raise a child. I’m Sarah. Three months ago, our son Noah was born. From the moment we dreamed of becoming parents, we heard the same thing over and over: “They’ll never manage.” Still, the second I held Noah, I knew we were stronger than every doubt. He is healthy, full of energy, and growing so fast. Every cry, every giggle, every little yawn reminds me of how far we’ve come. Yes, some things are harder for us. But love teaches us, helps us keep going, and reminds us not to give up. Mark sings Noah to sleep every night, and I spend hours just watching his tiny smile. We may not look like the “perfect” family to others—but to Noah, we are. And that’s what matters most.💙👶
