🌈 Celebrating Pride Month 🌈

This June, St. Clair Child & Youth Services honours the strength, diversity, and resilience of 2SLGBTQIA+ children, youth, and families in Sarnia-Lambton and beyond. Pride is a time to celebrate love and identity, recognize the ongoing impacts of stigma and discrimination, and recommit to creating communities where every young person feels safe, seen, and valued.

We know that 2SLGBTQIA+ youth continue to face higher rates of mental health challenges, not because of who they are, but because of exclusion, bullying, and barriers to support. As the lead agency for child and youth mental health in Sarnia-Lambton, we are committed to providing safe, affirming, and inclusive services where young people can show up as their whole selves.

This month and every month, we stand with 2SLGBTQIA+ young people, their families, and our community partners working for equity and inclusion. You are valid. You are loved. You belong here.

If you or a young person in your life is looking for support, please reach out to us at 519-337-3701 to learn more about our mental health services for children and youth.

🏳️‍🌈 Happy Pride Month from all of us at St. Clair Child & Youth Services. 🏳️‍⚧️

We’re excited to welcome a powerful youth voice to this year’s St. Clair Child & Youth Services Annual General Meeting.

Bella McGill (she/her), Youth Engagement Specialist with the Integrated Youth Services Data Platform at CAMH, will be joining us as our guest speaker. Bella’s advocacy journey began right here in Sarnia at just 17, through Spoken Hope and the YWHO Sarnia-Lambton Youth Advisory Council. Since then, she has been a passionate leader in shaping more youth-centered, integrated mental health services—working alongside community partners, including our own team at St. Clair.

Grounded in lived experience, Bella brings an inspiring perspective on reducing stigma, elevating youth leadership, and advancing the principle of “nothing about us without us.” Today, she continues to amplify youth voices across Canada and influence meaningful change in the mental health system.

Join us as we celebrate the past year and look ahead—together—with insight from one of our emerging leaders in youth mental health advocacy.
