100 YEARS OF CURLING IN PLUMAS

Another great curling season has come to a close at our last open bonspiel of the year.

The 50/50 draw was claimed at the rink when drawn on Sunday. Thanks for your support, the winner took home just over $1,100!

🥌 32 teams took part in the fun, the winners are ;

1st Event: Frank Porada, Wayne Nichol, Louis Vachon & Ken Oswald

2nd Event: Kevin Paramor, Dennis Orton, Ron Kulbacki, Shannon Plett

3rd Event: Joe Leslie, Morgan Manns, Craig Manns, Michelle Leslie

Also a shoutout to the Brad Lough rink on their 8-ender!

THANK YOU to the curlers from near and far and a huge THANK YOU to the many volunteers it takes to put on this big event. There are a number of people who have put in long hours throughout the season making ice, doing repairs, planning and organizing the kitchen, bar and much more.

Curling is a huge part of this community and it’s very clear that it will continue to be for many years to come!

The Plumas Curling Club would like to extend a huge thank you to the Big Grass Community Foundation and the Thomas Still Foundation for the generous donation of $7,000 towards our ice plant replacement project.

This is the second year the Big Grass Foundation has supported our fundraising efforts towards purchasing a new ice plant. We are extremely grateful for the continued support!
