Tomorrow night - a chance to learn more about Mount Carleton Park's stargazing opportunities!

🌌 Did you know that 80% of North Americans can no longer see the Milky Way? 🌌

Because of light pollution, more than one-third of humanity has lost touch with the night sky. But luckily, we are living in one of the best places on Earth to look up! ✨

Atlantic Canada is home to incredible RASC-registered Dark Sky Sites, and four of them are right here in New Brunswick! In fact, Mount Carleton Provincial Park boasts a Bortle scale rating of Class 1 to Class 2—meaning it rivals the best, most pristine dark sky sites in the world.

Park gates are open May 15, 2026!

L’entrée du parc est ouverte du 15 mai 2026 au 31 octobre 2026, de 8 h à 20 h en basse saison et de 8 h à 22 h en haute saison. Le Lodge Café est ouvert du jeudi au dimanche, de 9 h à 20 h, du 15 mai 2026 au 20 juin 2026, puis sera ouvert 7 jours sur 7. Du 14 septembre 2026 au 31 octobre 2026, il reviendra à un horaire du jeudi au dimanche.

Ready for a new season? We are ready to welcome you!
Park gates are open May 15, 2026 - October 31, 2026 from 8am-8pm during the low season, and 8am-10pm during high season. The Lodge Café is open Thursday to Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., from May 15, 2026 to June 20, 2026, and will then be open 7 days a week. From September 14, 2026 to October 31, 2026, it will return to a Thursday–Sunday schedule.
