❣️Golf for a Cause❣️is underway!! Clubs are swinging, balls are flying and carts are carting!! Before hitting the fairway the generous players dropped 20kg of food for the food bank. Community supporting community🥰 Thank you so very much🥰

🎯A huge potato donation was a little bigger than our hampers could handle and huddled together a little longer than they should've. We desparately need someone to pick up these soft starchy gems for PLANTING(?), livestock feed(?) compost(?) something else farm-related(?). 🎣 IMPORTANT UPDATE – FISHING TOURNAMENT CANCELLED 🎣
It is with disappointment that we announce the cancellation of the Pine Falls Regional Food Bank Full Plates Project Walleye Tournament scheduled for June 6 & 7, 2026.

Despite the tremendous effort put into organizing the event, registration numbers were unfortunately too low to make the tournament viable this year.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who shared posts, spread the word, expressed interest, and registered to participate. Your support is greatly appreciated.
A special thank you goes out to Steve and Kari Kulyk, who dedicated countless hours to planning, organizing, promoting, and preparing for this event. Community initiatives like this simply do not happen without volunteers willing to step forward and do the work behind the scenes.

While we're disappointed that the tournament won't be taking place this year, we remain hopeful for the future. Plans are already being discussed to revisit the event next June, with promotion beginning much earlier in the year.

Thank you for continuing to support the Pine Falls Regional Food Bank and the families we serve throughout our region.

We’re incredibly honoured to share that the Pine Falls Regional Food Bank has been selected as the recipient of the 2025–2026 Community Initiative Award from Community Futures Winnipeg River!

This award recognizes organizations making a meaningful impact in community development, and we’re proud to stand alongside so many amazing volunteers, partners, and supporters who make this work possible every single day. 💚

From food drives to distribution days, and everything in between, this recognition belongs to all of you who help keep our shelves stocked and our community supported.

A special thank you to our partners, including The LDB & Area Food Bank for working alongside us to ensure no one goes without.

We’ll be accepting this award at the AGM in June, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the continued support.

💛 A big thank you to our partners at the Come and Eat Lunch Program! 💛

This incredible program provides a free, welcoming lunch each week to anyone who needs one, made possible by local groups and organizations who generously take turns preparing and serving meals.

Hosted at Notre Dame du Laus Parish in Powerview, the program runs Thursdays from 11:00–1:00 during Food Bank hours and continues to be a meaningful support for our community.
We’re grateful to all the groups who have contributed over the past two years, including Wings of Power, Notre Dame du Laus Parish, Winnipeg River Area Lions, Mikaaming Mino Pimatiziwin Healing Lodge & Day Program, Kookum’s Lodge, Sagkeeng Health Centre, Winnipeg River Senior Services, IERHA, and Powerview School.

Your generosity is a powerful reminder of what community can do, one meal at a time 💙
