Next week we'll open our gallery doors for our summer gallery show Mouthless Spring, a ceramics exhibit showcasing intricate, ecologically inspired works by artist Melanie Barnett.

Visit the AAC gallery at the Lebel from June 2nd- August 30th to experience this work in person!

"My work speculates on ways in which agriculture can better coexist with the ecosystems the industry is set in. I create ceramic sculptures that imagine new futures and integrate science fiction into a ruralsetting. In my work I explore how these artificial ecosystems can incorporate native plants and contemporary agricultural practice, rather than exiling them to ditches and sloughs."

Summer reads anyone?!

Alongside our selection of intentionally made works of art in our gift shop you'll find a selection of books here in the gift shop.

We have local titles, Canadian fiction and non-fiction with themes of the environment, titles that highlight Indigenous voices and a beautiful selection of kids books as well!

The Allied Arts Council of Pincher Creek is looking for a qualified instructor for our fall 2026 kid’s art program, with the hopes of finding an individual to offer these programs with us on a long term basis.

If you have a passion for child centred, process based art, have education experience focused on grades kindergarten to six, an open approach and value the social-emotional impact access to arts programs can have on a young persons life, we would love to talk to you!

This role would facilitate our Friday afternoon art classes on a contractual basis throughout the school year, approximately 4 hours per week on Friday afternoons, plus some hours budgeted annually for prep and classroom organization. The Friday art schedule is made to work alongside the regular school schedule, with a typical contract running alongside school terms ( September to December, January-June).

Above all in these programs we value a welcoming environment, experience and process over product, providing a space for kids to use their creative minds, connect with each other and explore all the supplies and potential creations our art room has to offer. A love of play is a real asset in this environment!

Please visit our website to read more, and then reach out to our Executive Director by email to introduce yourself.

Today is National Indigenous Peoples Day, a day to celebrate and honour Indigenous cultures and traditions.

Thank you to Alberta Culture Days for sharing this reminder of a 2025 Culture Days event we were lucky to host all about Metis Music and Dance with Brianna Lizotte. We were honoured to have Phil Lethbridge attend and connect with an up and coming fiddler of a younger generation, carrying on such an important legacy.
