Parks and Community Rejuvenation Board Pierson's Parks and Community Rejuvenation Board ( PCRB) committed to the beautification of our town through various sustainable projects. Hello Pierson!

The members of the Pierson Parks and Community Rejuvenation Board (what a mouthful!! Lets use PCRB) plan on keeping everyone in our community up to speed on what we’re all about. We are an energetic group of community volunteers committed to the beautification of our town through various sustainable projects. Some of our plans include annual town clean up, some improvements to our main street and

publishing a newsletter (The Leaf) packed with valuable information, our projects, as well as many tips and ideas. Anyone in the community is welcome to volunteer to help with our projects, as many hands make light work! Our aim is to raise awareness and educate the community about environmental management issues, ideas and sustainability for the future of our community. We will not however, be responsible for any existing play parks, or the Edward Sports Grounds as they are already well taken care of! We are happy to partner with other organizations and in fact already have some great projects planned through that initiative. So stay tuned for more exciting information to come!

Tree Project Update!
The PCRB has been working the last number of months fundraising, obtaining permits & considering tree species in our effort to line a portion of Railway Ave with hardy Elms (Triumph) & Lindens, & Hackberry in Breakey Park. Planting is scheduled for autumn 2024 by Alternative Landscaping Group, Brandon.
Consultations have taken place with Municipality of Two Borders, landowners, & MB Transportation & Infrastructure. We feel we have addressed all possible concerns i.e. snow removal, utility lines, sight lines, heavy truck traffic, canopy, roots etc.
Donations are incoming & grants have been applied for.
A sincere "Thank You!" to Good Lands Environmental Inc, Forsyth Hauling 2010 Ltd & Melita Resources Ltd for your generous donations.
Benefits of a tree lined avenue are environmental, economic, aesthetic & educational. If you would like to financially support this project, donations may be mailed to Municipality of Two Borders, Box 100, Pierson, MB, R0M 1S0, (please write a NOTATION "Pierson Tree Project").
Donations over $25.00 will be issued a receipt.
Please contact Deb Forsyth, Lori Jones, Mary-Anne Minshull or any member of Pierson PCRB for further information.
