Easter Sunday, 10:30 @ The Andrew Picton.
Every year at Easter my task is to look deeply into the archetype of resurrection to discern how we might embrace it as "a way of seeing/a daily practice" rather than a doctrinal/historical truth. I will share words from the Gospel of Mary Magdalene, Maya Angelou and also insights from Neil Douglas Klotz.
I will share snippets from the novel, The Fault In Our Stars, that tells the story of two teenagers who live with cancer and gather weekly with a support group in a church basement where they laugh a little, cry a little, tell the truth and are fully present to one another.
I will also share a variety of images of resurrection from different traditions. This one from the Eastern Orthodox tradition (the ancient vision is cosmic and includes all of us)
