Girls Who Fish

Girls Who Fish Fishing & outdoor programming for girls & women
We meet on the First & Third Sunday
AND when the fishing is good! All you need to bring are your rubber boots!

Girls Who Fish is a women-led program for women! We believe that by encouraging women to develop outdoor skills that provide confidence in & around the water will embolden women to tackle other challenges in life, as well. We aim to teach as many girls outdoor independence as possible. We meet every 1st and 3rd Sunday, time varies, at The Island Rooms in Petty Harbour (10 Main Rd). There is an ann

ual $80 registration fee for on-site events and any additional offsite event fees will be announced in advance. We will hold special events such as shed parties, tenting by the river, fish print making, snow shoeing, ice fishing, heritage skill workshops and more! We partner with other nonprofits to create an exciting, yet safe and inclusive space, for sharing our diverse backgrounds. Ages 4-84 are welcome in our program so bring your sister, friend, daughter, mother, and your grandmother too! If you have any questions about GWF or are interested in becoming a sponsor feel free to contact us by email: [email protected] or by phone: Kimberly 709-740-3474
