Every once in a while, we end up with old prescriptions in our collection bins, therefore we would like to remind everyone of the proper disposal process.

Good afternoon everyone, and happy March.
We want to take this opportunity to thank Lambton Chiropractic Centre, the Petrolia LEO Club and Heidi’s Independent Grocer for their help with 2 different Food Drives this March.
We also want to thank all those who have and continue to support the Petrolia Food Bank by donating food, gift cards and money … all donations are greatly appreciated.
Here you will find a list of items that we are in need of and frequently asked for, however can’t afford to keep buying … flour, muffin mixes (no bran please), pie fillings, cake mixes, condensed and evaporated milk, Jello, cooking oil (vegetable, canola, olive), mixed canned meats - chicken, ham, salmon (no tuna please we have lots of that), canned chili and/or stews, condiments, taco kits, snack foods including chips, popcorn, crispy minis, crispers, pretzels anything for family night, not lunch snacks and no kids applesauce cups please as we have an abundance of them.
We ask that when donating food to please check the best before dates as we have been getting a lot of expired and short dated items coming in, thank you for understanding.
Please note that we are always in need of laundry and cleaning supplies.
Thank you for considering donating to the food drives happening this month.

PLEASE PLEASE read attached. Leaving food in your vehicle during freezing weather WILL FREEZE items in cans and jars. If those items freeze we will have to throw them out. We do not want to waste food that is otherwise good food.
ALSO....PLEASE check your best before dates on donated items. WE CANNOT accept expired items. This creates waste for us to deal with. Please dispose of your expired items prior to bringing them to us or depositing into our donation bins. We appreciate your understanding on these matters.
