We are so grateful to have met with MP Marilyn Gladu, who hosted an enlightening Q&A session during the LYPC’s most recent meeting.

After the discussion, LYPC members participated in the debate portion of a multi-party mock political campaign, which they had worked hard on for quite some time.

With the mock campaign ending in a close decision, the LYPC had the chance to blow off some steam in an intense game of laser tag!

We are very proud of the LYPC’s hard work and dedication leading up to yesterday’s meeting and look forward to the next one!

The LYPC just finished up a great debate on Healthcare Reform! Both teams worked incredibly hard over the last month to research and come up with their arguments for and against a semi-privatized system in Canada. We’re so proud of what both teams were able to accomplish!

A huge thank you to MP Marilyn Gladu for lending her time and sharing some words with our teams! And thank you to our Moderators, we couldn’t have done it without you!

The Sarnia-Lambton Conservative EDA is excited to announce that they will be hosting a speakers series, welcoming two great Southwestern Ontario leaders: MP Karen Vecchio and our very own MP Marilyn Gladu! This is a great opportunity to come hear about the state of politics in our country, as well as to meet and interact with leaders and members of our community! This event is free to everyone; all are welcome, and no RSVP necessary. Whether this be your first or one-hundredth time attending an event like this, we hope you join us and look forward to seeing you there!

Being a part of the LYPC means being an active community member, a driven leader, and a passionate changemaker.

Your role in the LYPC will entail attending monthly virtual meetings where you will have the opportunity to learn and engage in open discussions about relevant Canadian political issues. Members will also have the chance to network with local political figures and gain the ability to participate in exclusive volunteer activities. The LYPC plans to conduct a political initiative proposal project at the end of the year, where we, as a committee, will develop an idea for a policy or change we want to see in the community or nationally, which will then be presented to the local Member of Parliament, and the Sarnia-Lambton Electoral District Association.

Applications Close October 20th!
