On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, the Kiwanis Club of Petitcodiac, along with their partners, had their annual get together to celebrate the beginning of summer. A buffet dinner was prepared by the Legion Kitchen volunteers, who also joined us for dinner. Jim Stark (pancake breakfast chair) was given a Kiwanis pancake pin. Kiwanian of the Year 2026 was presented to Heather Burgess for her contributions to the Kiwanis Club.

On June 2, we hosted our annual Grad Banquet for the PRS Class of 2026. Even though a power outage slowed the start, the Legion & Kiwanis volunteers served up a turkey dinner when the power came back on. Four scholarships of $1000 were presented to: Julia Clark, Marlie MacLeod, Madeline Plume and Alexis Thorne. MLA for Arcadia-Butternut Valley-Maple Hills and former Petitcodiac resident, Don Monahan, was the guest speaker, accompanied by his assistant, Shelley Vail. Kiwanian Rick Brown MC'd the evening. Here are some upcoming events this weekend where you’ll find the Kiwanis Club. Saturday, we will be cooking up breakfast for the Petty Trail Blazers ATV Club Spring Run. Stop by and grab one of our famous breakfast sandwiches. On Sunday, you’ll find our BBQ setup at the Motorsports Hall of Fame for the 20th annual Petty Autofest. Stop by, see the cars and grab some BBQ lunch. Hope to see you there!
