🌲🔥 A little friendly competition in the great outdoors! 🔥🌲

At tonight’s outdoor meeting, the Timberwolves and Otters found themselves stranded at Wise Oaks home and faced the challenge of building shelters and starting fires to survive! Even our faithful leaders joined in on the competition!

Both groups showed incredible resourcefulness, teamwork, and creativity as they used what nature provided. With sticks, leaves, and large branches, they worked together to construct their shelters and put their survival skills to the test.

🌬️ They even learned that the wind in our area typically blows from west to east and used that knowledge to orient their shelters for better protection from the wind!

🔥 And somehow, they even managed to find marshmallows to roast over their fires!

A huge thank-you to Sgt. Matt Parker, a firefighter with the City of Toronto, and a member of The Canadian Armed Forces, for joining us to judge the shelters and encourage our young boys. We appreciate you taking the time to support their learning and outdoor adventures!

Fun was had by all! What a great evening of teamwork, problem-solving, and outdoor skills! 🌿👏

🦦🐺 A Wonderful Start to a New Season! 🐺🦦

Last night, our FNE Otters and Timberwolves gathered for their first get-together of the season! ❤️

Families and members came together to celebrate our opening Mass with Fr. Gaston, where we were reminded of the power of praying the Rosary. 🙏

Following Mass, we held a special Swimming Up Ceremony as Jacob and James said goodbye to their Otter Den and welcomed a new adventure in the Timberwolves Pack! 🦦➡️🐺 We are so excited to see them grow and thrive in this next chapter!

The evening wrapped up with a delicious family potluck as we celebrated the beginning of a new session together. 🥗🍽️

We’re so grateful for our amazing families and can’t wait for all the fun, faith, friendship, and adventures the coming weeks will bring!

Here’s to a fantastic new season! ❤️ JMJ

Calling all dads!

Around the campfire, some of the most important lessons are taught simply by being present.

We are deeply grateful to the fathers who generously give their time, share their faith and skills, and lead our children by example. Your presence helps shape confidence, character, friendship, and a deeper love for Christ.

Fathers, your example can make a lasting difference. Consider volunteering with an FNE group and joining your child on an adventure filled with faith and purpose.
