Peterborough Regional Science Fair

Peterborough Regional Science Fair The Peterborough Science Fair is a competition in which students display their results for an original scientific investigation that they have carried out.

The 2023 PRSF will take place IN PERSON April 11th, 2023. Our divisions are as follows:
Primary K- Grade 3
Elementary Grades 4-6
Junior Grades 7-8
Intermediate Grades 9-10
Senior Grades 11-12
Elementary to Senior divisions are divided by type of science.

Back-to-back finalists!! 🥳🥳 Congratulations to our finalists heading off to show their science fair flare at the 2026 Canada Wide Science Fair!! 🤗🤩🎉

🥉Ella Sehn came first in Senior Earth and Environmental Science, THIRD overall in the fair, with her project “Removal of Aquatic Microbial Biocontaminants with Ozonide: An Assessment of Apoptosis in Wildtype and CRISPR-Cas9 iPT Homozygous Knockout Cell Lines”

🥈Isaiah Jalsevac came first in Senior Computer and Engineering Sciences, SECOND overall in the fair, with his project “Firebird: Autonomous UAV Detection and Monitoring of Wildfires”

🥇Claire Sehn won first in Intermediate Earth and Environmental Sciences, FIRST overall in the fair, with her project “A Novel, Biodegradable Treatment to Limit Drought and Wildfire Disaster and Retain Soil Nutrients”

We wish all three the best of luck at they go on to the CWSF!!

All the results of our fair including division prizes, draw prizes, and special awards are available for viewing on our website!

A few things have changed on Trent’s campus. To help navigate these new changes, we’ve made sure to put detailed instructions and videos on our website regarding parking and how to find the registration desk and your room for project set up!
