You've probably noticed: some changes are underway for our beloved tool library!

The Peterborough Tool Library is becoming the Kawartha Tool Library, as we are expanding with an additional location to serve more people across the region. While that second location isn't open just yet (look for an announcement on that soon!), we're hard at work getting everything set up, in both the physical and online spaces! Due to this transition, please note that the domain ptbotoollibrary.ca is no longer active, but this doesn't mean you can't still use our online services: our online catalog, your account access and reservations remain available at ptbotoollibrary.myturn.com

❄️ Important Storm Update on Habitat PKR Operations – Wednesday, April 2

Unfortunately, due to the ongoing impact of the ice storm, we are still experiencing some operational challenges. Here’s the latest update:

🏡 Office Closure: Our affiliate office remains closed due to an ongoing internet outage. You can still reach us at [email protected] and we’ll respond as soon as possible.

💚 Habitat ReStore & Tool Library Updates:
- Peterborough North Habitat for Humanity ReStore - Open today 10 AM - 5 PM for shopping and donations. Cash only as internet remains down.
- Lindsay Habitat for Humanity ReStore - Open today 9 AM - 5 PM, fully operational for shopping and donating, accepting cash, debit, and credit transactions.
- Lakefield Habitat for Humanity ReStore - Closed today due to continued power loss. If you have a donation, please consider dropping it off just ten minutes away at the Peterborough North ReStore, off Chemong Road instead.
- Peterborough Tool Library- Still closed due to an internet outage. If you have overdue tools, please hold onto them until we reopen. Late fees for tools due from Saturday onward will be waived.

🚛 Donation Pick-Ups & ReStore Deliveries: Our team has rescheduled missed pick-ups from Monday, March 31 and is back on the road. Due to the ongoing power outage at our Lakefield office, they are difficult to reach by phone, but please email [email protected] for assistance.

-Peterborough North Habitat for Humanity ReStore – Open 10am - 5pm today for shopping and donations. Cash only as we have no internet.

-Lakefield Habitat for Humanity ReStore - Closed today as per usual hours. We hope to open tomorrow but are navigating a continued power outage there - stay tuned for updates.
