Fourcast is looking for experienced candidates for our full-time IT Specialist position based at our main Peterborough office.

The IT Specialist provides organization-wide technical expertise, resolves daily helpdesk tickets, and administers Microsoft 365 environments. This role supports the deployment and maintenance of IT infrastructure and equipment and ensures that IT inventory is accurately tracked and managed across all sites. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential for working collaboratively with people across the agency, external community partners, and IT vendors.

Fourcast is hiring a full-time Addiction Intensive Case Manager (ICM) to support service users through screening, assessment, and counselling at the HART Hub in Peterborough.

At the HART Hub, Fourcast has partnered with other agencies to offer services including primary care, mental health, substance use treatment, housing with supports, and health systems navigation. Our staff collaborate with health and social service partners to create a low-barrier, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive health care model.

Do you or someone close to you have experience with addiction? ConnexOntario wants to hear from you. They're developing a new Relapse Prevention Line, for people who are having an urge to use substances or gamble and want support in that moment. To help design the support line, they're offering a quick 3-minute survey so they can get input from people with lived and living experience, their family and care partners, and the people who work alongside them.

Sometimes, the urge to use substances or gamble can feel overwhelming. Having someone to talk to in that moment can make a difference.

ConnexOntario is developing a new Relapse Prevention Line to offer support when those urges come up, and we want to hear from you as we shape this service.

Your feedback will help us understand what you need and how we can make the line as supportive and accessible as possible. The survey is anonymous and takes about 3 minutes to complete.

Did you know Bed-Based Withdrawal Management Services are available in Peterborough? ⤵️

Withdrawal Management supports people who want to make changes to their substance use and need help to get through the withdrawal period. Withdrawal is a very important stage in self-directed change, as physical symptoms need to be managed to ensure safety and well-being.

Service users might access Withdrawal Management at the beginning of their change journey, but can also access it during periods of relapse or managing cravings at any time. Our multidisciplinary team provides around-the-clock support to help service users safely navigate withdrawal and work toward their goals.

𝗢𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵.

Ontario has opened a new Homelessness and Addiction Recovery Treatment (HART) Hub in Peterborough to help people access care while keeping communities safe.

This is part of Ontario’s plan to open 29 HART Hubs across the province to improve access to recovery and treatment services for individuals and families facing mental health and substance use challenges.

The Peterborough HART Hub is delivering services, with the Four Counties Addiction Services Team serving as the lead agency. It collaborates with local organizations – including the City of Peterborough Social Services; Canadian Mental Health Association – Haliburton, Kawartha, and Pine Ridge; Elizabeth Fry Society of Peterborough; Peterborough Community Health Centre; Peterborough County-City Paramedics and the Peterborough Regional Health Centre – to provide care.
