A big thank you to Amanda Dears, Public Education Officer with Peterborough Fire Services, for joining us this evening and sharing important information about carbon monoxide safety.

Carbon monoxide (CO) detectors are essential safety devices, and it is critical for landlords to understand their responsibilities and how to keep tenants safe. Amanda provided valuable education, answered questions, and helped clarify what landlords need to know.

Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for our January Peterborough Landlords Association meeting, it was a fantastic evening filled with great discussion, thoughtful questions, and valuable connections.

A special thank you to Jim G. Clement, Financial Advisor & Wealth Specialist with Jim Clement Wealth Management, for returning as our guest speaker. Jim delivered an engaging and insightful presentation on “Insurance and Real Estate: The Wealth Strategies Every Real Estate Investor Should Know — But Most Ignore.”

From breaking down term vs. permanent insurance, to clarifying mortgage insurance vs. life insurance, and exploring how insurance can be used strategically for debt, estate planning, and wealth building, Jim shared practical takeaways that every landlord and real estate investor can benefit from. The conversation and Q&A really highlighted how important these often-overlooked strategies are.
