Animal Aide Pontiac

Animal Aide Pontiac Animal Aide Pontiac is a registered nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of furry felines through rescue and reproduction control since 2009.

Animal Aide Pontiac is transitioning to assisting the most vulnerable cats in our population – feral/farm cat colonies. Our mission is to help control & reduce overpopulation, reproduction & disease rates in cats within the Pontiac region through our pilot project with Outaouais SPCA, which is providing us with a cheaper rate for these cats that have no owner and spend most if not all of their liv

es living outside. Our funds are still raised by fundraisers through our page & public donations. Property owners & community members requesting TNR assistance are required to assist in the cost – this is not a free service. As long as people continue to graciously donate & participate in our fundraisers, we will continue our mission to help the most vulnerable cats within the Pontiac. We realize this transition to TNR will be a disappointment to people searching for lower cost spay/neuter surgery for their pets. However, you still have many options available to you. You will have to drive further for the lower prices but if you ask friends in your community or put posts out on Facebook asking others in your area if they also need a spay/neuter appointment, you will be able to carpool or share the cost of gas & book appointments together on the same day. Lanark Leeds Grenville Spay/Neuter Clinic has a website and page.

***Update: we want to thank our friends in Ottawa from Community Alley Trappers for going to get Midas. He's no longer at risk of euthanasia and is safe!*** We are looking for the owner of a cat named Midas (brown tabby/white), has not been reported missing, was surrendered to Ottawa Humane Society. This would be a cat adopted from us or a cat sent on one of our surgery trips. Microchip was never updated by owner/adopter and our files before 2023 are currupt from a power outage. WHAT HAS THIS POOR GUY BEEN THROUGH?!

We need 2 fosters that can split a litter of 5 kittens about 1.5 months old, currently running in and out of their feeders house. Mother is going for tnr. Fosters comfortable socializing and following direction. Reach out if thats you, please. If you have cats, they have to have updated FVRCP vaccines and the kittens need to be in a seperate space.
