Thank you, to all those who came out and purchased plants and volunteered recent plant sales. We sold a lot of plants and increased our sales from last year. Again thank you for supporting us. Because of the numbers of volunteers we were able to find time during this Saturday's sale to install one more minimum till bed. These pictures show four older ladies installing that bed. We need to get some younger
Personnel involved. If you are able to help out, please let us know.We have quite a few more beds to do.

Meet Bryn Goebel, our new market garden employee operating our BCS tractor (courtesy of Perth and District Community Foundation ) and our new Renaldi Power Harrow (courtesy of the Big Carrot Toronto). She is preparing a new seed bed for a sowing of beets. This is one of our new minimum till beds. Note the use of wood chips to reduce w**d pressure. We will be installing many more of these beds to reduce volunteer labour requirements for raising vegetables. However we could use more volunteers to create these beds right now. Please come on out or phone Cliff at 613 858 7732.

Hello folks! We're moving on from the Garlic festivals in Carp and McDonald's Corners. We had a great reception at both events. We still have garlic available and we are selling direct from the garden. Contact Cliff or Ella at 613-858 -7732 or [email protected] With the attached photos, we see the Elderberry bush that was planted now has elderberries on it! We have also started preparing three minimum till/no till beds for spring sowing. Many thanks to the folks from the Manie Daniels Centre for their help. We will be continuing with the installation of cardboard and compost this Wednesday morning and other tasks in the garden. If you can come on out this day or other days please do and give us a call.
