🐄🌾 FUN FACT FRIDAY — COUNTDOWN TO THE 180TH PERTH FAIR! 🎡💚💛

As we begin the countdown to a very special milestone — the 180th Perth Fair in 2027 — we’re taking a look back at some of the history that helped shape the Fair we know and love today!

For Fun Fact Friday, we’ll be sharing pieces of Perth Fair history as we count down to our 180th Fair, September 2–5, 2027! 🎉

🐴 IMPORTANT NOTICE TO OUR EQUINE PARTICIPANTS

The Perth & District Agricultural Society has been notified that an animal that attended one of the equine events at the 2026 Perth Fair, between September 3–6, has since tested positive for Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA).

We are sharing this information with our equine participants so that they are aware and can take any precautions they feel are appropriate.

If you attended the Fair with horses during this time and have any concerns about possible exposure or the health of your animals, we encourage you to contact your local veterinarian for advice and guidance regarding any recommended next steps or testing.

We appreciate everyone’s attention to this notice and their continued commitment to the health and well-being of the equine community.

We’re happy to let all of our 2026 Perth Fair exhibit winners know that prize cheques are being mailed out tomorrow! 📬

Whether you entered Homecraft, Agriculture, Livestock or one of our many other exhibit classes, if you earned prize money at this year’s Fair, keep an eye on your mailbox — your cheque will soon be on its way!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who exhibited with us this year. 💚💛 Your entries, talents and hard work are such an important part of what makes the Perth Fair special year after year.

What an incredible finish to the 2026 Ontario Four Horse Hitch Series! A tie-breaker and an exciting final call saw Peak & Valley Farm crowned the 2026 Ontario Four Supreme Champion! 🏆

We were thrilled to welcome some of these talented drivers and beautiful hitches to the Perth Fair this year. There’s truly nothing quite like seeing four powerful horses enter the ring together!

Congratulations to all the competitors on a fantastic season. We’re already looking forward to hopefully welcoming some familiar faces — and hitches — back to Perth for our very special 180th Perth Fair in 2027!

📸🚨 FINAL REMINDER — DON’T MISS THE DEADLINE! 🚨📸

There’s still time to turn your favourite 2026 Perth Fair memories into a winning photo! 💚💛

The deadline to enter our OAAS Photography Competition is October 1, 2026!

With 19 different categories, including a Junior Division, there are plenty of opportunities to enter those great shots you captured during Fair weekend — from animals and competitions to rides, entertainment, displays and those special candid moments. 🎡🐴🌾

🏆 Prizes: 1st – $6 | 2nd – $5 | 3rd – $4

📩 HOW TO ENTER:

💾 Drop off a USB with your photos at the Perth Fair Office, 50 Arthur Street, Perth

OR

📧 Email your photos to [email protected]

⚠️ Please be sure to include the Division and Class Number for EACH photo submitted.

Selected winning photos will also move on to the OAAS Photography Competition in February 2027! 🏆

🎥 179 Years of the Perth Fair — and What a Year It Was! 💚💛

As we officially close the books on the 179th Perth Fair, we’re proud to share this CTV interview highlighting our Fair, its traditions and the incredible community that continues to support it year after year. 🌾🎡🐴

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who attended, volunteered, exhibited, competed, sponsored, entertained, worked behind the scenes or simply helped spread the word. It takes an entire community to bring the Perth Fair to life, and we couldn’t do it without you. ❤️

And while the midway may be packed up and the fairgrounds are getting a little quieter… we’re already looking ahead!

🎉 Planning for the 180th Perth Fair is officially beginning! 🎉

180 years is a pretty incredible milestone, and we can’t wait to start planning how we’ll celebrate it with all of you.
