You may recognize these two smiling faces from the Festival of the Maples, from their weekly volunteer work at the GWM gift shop, or from their wonderful work in the GWM craft room.

Eileen and Nancy are long-time Great War Memorial Hospital Auxiliary volunteers who generously dedicate so much of their time and energy to our hospital and community.

We are so pleased to recognize them through our Gifts of Gratitude program.

At the Festival of the Maples, Eileen and Nancy volunteered at the PSFDH Foundation tent in support of the Kelly’s Flowers Daffodil Campaign, spending the day selling daffodils and helping raise funds for the Medical Day Unit.

On Saturday, the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation team, alongside many of our Board members, had the pleasure of connecting with fellow hospital foundations from across the Ottawa Valley at the Ottawa Valley Hospital Foundations Retreat.

It was a day filled with inspiring speakers, meaningful conversations, and valuable learning that left us energized and full of ideas.

Opportunities like this are a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we come together.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make the day so impactful and engaging. We’re grateful to be part of such a collaborative and passionate community.

This is the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation staff team.

Our office runs on coffee, collaboration, laughter and just enough chaos to keep things interesting.

We are a small but mighty group, each of us showing up every day because we believe deeply in having access to quality health care right here in our community.

Some days are busy, some days are emotional, and some days we’re running from one idea to the next… but through it all, there’s a shared purpose that keeps us grounded.

We celebrate the wins together, support each other through the hard days, and never lose sight of why we do what we do because behind every donation, every event, and every conversation is a patient, a family, a neighbour.

We’re not just a team, we’re a group of people who genuinely care about this hospital, this community, and each other.
